Before you begin your study together with me, I want to establish from the start, you will find that this book is not market driven. It has not been written from a purely scholastic point of view so as to be accepted in academia. It is not a book of philosophy, psychology, or even merely religion. This book is not even written from a so called "Christian World View", because there are many who claim to be Christian who have departed from biblical truth. LIES THAT KILL is unapologetically written from a Biblical World View. It is this author's premise that there is a truth established in Heaven that neither the changes of time nor the whims of man can alter.
When Jesus stood before the Roman Governor, He was asked the most important question that any man could ask. Pontius Pilate asked Him, "What is truth?" (John 18:38). Implied in this eternal question is a deep longing for the understanding the nature of reality. Pilate didn't understand it at the time, but He was looking in the eyes of truth. The search for truth is a sacred pursuit. I hold firmly to the conviction that if anyone will truthfully and honestly search for truth that search will ultimately lead to Jesus. What you and I do with Him always determines our destiny.
I am often asked, "Why is it so important to believe and live in the truth?" The thinking goes like this. "Wouldn't it be best if I kept my stuff to myself? Then no one would be disappointed or get angry at me. Jesus tells us in John 8:32 – You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. What is at stake is our freedom in Christ. You may ask, "What do you mean by freedom"? In Gal. 5:1 we find these words.
Dr. Rob Randall is a third generation evangelist. For the past quarter of a century, he has been at the forefront of the spiritual battle within the church.
